Adult and Adolescent Therapy

I utilize a psychodynamic approach to help uncover unconscious feelings that cause you to behave in ways that you do not like or understand.  I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques to identify negative thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that could be affecting your view of yourself or others.  I may also use expressive therapy or sandtray therapy techniques.  These techniques include drawing, painting, collage, or building a sandtray.  This can be helpful in identifying aspects of your life that may be difficult to talk about, or that are keeping you from moving forward.

Child Therapy

Children do not communicate like adults, therefore the way therapy is conducted with children is very different.  I utilize directive and non-directive play therapy to gain an understanding of your child’s worldview and to guide them towards the use of healthy communication and coping skills.  I provide therapy services to children ages 6 and up.
