Fees

$180 for the initial intake session (60 minutes)

$150 for each individual therapy session (50 minutes)

I offer a free 20 minute consultation to determine if we are a good fit for counseling services.

Insurance

I currently accept most CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield plans.

I am an “out of network provider” for other insurance plans. I am happy to provide you with an invoice that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

I recommend asking the following questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:

  • Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?

  • Do I have out of network coverage for mental health?

  • Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?

  • Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?

  • Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

 • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.

• Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

• If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

• Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

Payment and Cancellation Policy

I accept credit or debit cards as forms of payment for services. You must keep a card on file if you are an active client.

Unless there is an unavoidable, unforeseen emergency (i.e. car accident, hospitalization, house fire) you will be charged the full session fee if you fail to show or cancel with less than 24 hours notice.  This includes first appointments. You must agree to the cancellation policy if you wish to be a client.
